Default help to create reverse sound effect

I'm looking to create a certain sound effect and am not sure how to do it. If you can think of a sci-fi movie where the effect is like speeding up the sound in a whirling motion only to end in the TV dot on your television that would be it. Similar to a reverse cymbal effect or blowing thru your teeth with your lips in an "ooo" position and moving your lips to an "eee" position as you blow harder and stop the sound. My application is I have a pop tune that hums along and I want to end it with this effect but it's the music I want to "wind up" and stop. Need to stretch over two beats. Any ideas?? I have samplers and stuff and run Apples Logic 8....soon to be 9

any help would be appreciated...
regards
bnote

I can help you my man. Thats an old trick.

First you reverse the sound.
Second you add reverb so it gives the reversed sound a trail.
Thrid you reverse the sound again so the sound is now back the right way.

Now what you get if you do it right is a sound that has its reverb before the sound itself, so it sort of crawls. Really spooky.

(also doesn't seem to work in audacity)
