Default Fruity Loops 7 Sound Problem

I have just inherited a PC with Fruity Loops 7 installed. Everything seems to work great, but I have a problem with FL...

I will start by stating that I have never used this before so it may be something very basic. I have imported a MIDI file and edited all the tracks to sound the way I want. I hear them perfectly through the speakers, but when I burn to an MP3, there is no sound.

If played in Media Player you can see the sensitivity meters moving and the time shows as 4:06 so there is something there. The original MIDI plays fine via Media Player. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Can you save anything else and listen to it? Like another song? (not midi)

What are your output settings?

The MIDI songs only play in pattern mode. When I switch to song mode, I get short clips - almost as if it is backwards...

But what about exporting a demo song. Or something else

trying to see if the problem is in the midi or fruity loops

Have you tried Downloading Fruity Loops 9
