Creative commons question

Hi all,

I know this is probably a silly question, but it's one I need to know before using these loops and effects. Is there a way to limit your searches to files that are CC files? That is, every file I've looked at says "Creative Commons Audio: No". I take that to mean don't use it... I am a singer/songwriter and I'm hoping to put together some music for my CD; so of course I don't want any copyright issues! can anybody tell me how I can find loops/effects that I can use? (preferrably "attribution" or "public domain" categories).
