Before i post the results let me first thank all of you for your patience, time, and effort. All songs were good, some where just better according to the rules and curriculum we set up. I myself have been in many remix contest and never one a single one. So if you did not win please understand its not because you're not good enough. We hope you all have had a bunch of fun and have maybe even made a few friends along the way.

You can make ANYTHING with Fruity Studios, NO GENRE is out of it's reach. You can make even film and game music. Like me. I'm even using the cheap $99 version here, not the advanced stuff.

I did a quick calculation and I think that the average points for a contestant were 6.6133... and at a scale from 1 to 10 it was pretty well. So most of you did a great job and you should not be dissapointed if you did not win, there were however 30 participating beats.

I'm sorry for your disappointment, I guess you really wanted to win.
Even if it's quite hard to read your post, I'm trying to answer.
I'm not involved in any way in judging, I'm not aware in any way why exactly my track was chosen but I can give you several reasons I can think of:

1.Originality - well, makind a chord pad out of shouting vocals, recording your own lines and making a quite melodic House-Jazz out of several abstract loops that don't match tonality.

2.Use of Samples - as I wrote in the description of the track, I used several of the samples/ loops.

3.Overall Quality - here I did my best, tried to match stuff pre-recorded with my own stuff, glue it a bit with some reverb and compressing.
As all the original tracks got deleted I could upload a different track but I preferred to be true and even if my mixing skills got better by the time, I posted same old track.

4.E.Q./ Levels/ Mix - all said before

5.Did I like it? - that's subjective, not really something that someone can argue about. It's a matter of taste.

I might be only a trumpet player that plays guitar and compose also from time to time but it's quite weird that if I mix that bad, how is that bands produced by me gets on radio ?
(those ones: GUD, Failte )

And, if you're a DJ for over 15 years, you should know the difference between jazz and house/ electro beats with some jazzy trumpet on top... eh well...
