Hi all:
I work for a school system in a "second-tier" city and have been using some of the sounds in work-related presentations. So far I (and my co-workers) are really enjoying the way these things brighten up a presentation. However, having purchased the entire collection of sounds, I find that it's a lot to handle in terms of simply finding anything. I've still got the sounds grouped by the original zip files; is there an index available of what sounds can be found in what file? |

![]() There is a license.txt that describes how the sounds are named These files have been zipped up for quicker downloads. Prefix and Meaning -------------- bs = bass dk = drum kit drm = drum loop in = instrument pd = pad sn = synthesizer snd = sound vc = vocal The next few characters should have some description in them. The file names are short and sweet (we hope anyway) there are relative limits to file name length in that only so many characters or displayed at one time. This forces us to put both the category and the sound description in the same file name. Hope that gets you where you need to go. Be sure to check out these other sites for sounds as well http://soundbible.com http://soundjax.com http://pdsounds.org |

So there's no way to search through 7,000 files - or know what files are in which zip file? I'm SO disappointed! Who has the time to painstaking search through and listen to each of these files? How can you have a library without an index?
I found your site searching on Halloween sound effects. The page has sound effects listed like "scary reversed vocal," "reversed vocal," "haunted house" etc. Can I find these in the 7,000? Last edited by mauidelite; 10-22-2011 at 01:05 AM. Reason: More info added |
