Some help please?
After downloading the 5k loops do the beats and bass lines etc actually loop as opposed to the way the are to review before purchasing?

Well it all depends on whether or not they are acidized.
It really depends on what software you are using. I can make anything loop with Audacity. What software are you using, and is it for music production or sound design?

I think sonar will work, i used to have a boss something ten years ago.
I think they have their audio files stored as .wav files. You can always download Acid Xpress or something to that effect. http://free-loops.com/software-99.html

Music programs
There are lots of programs out there at the mo. like reason 5 is just out but they cost alot although sompe naughty computer people crack them! Who are thease damn people anyways? I would suggest Ableton Live, Its simple and can work in conjunction with most other programs or alone. You may even be able to download an old propellerhead reason. Who knows!!!
(sorry about spelling, I'm dislexic)
