Hi people,
Just joined here. Great site and I've been checking out the samples/loops. I'm fairly new to the whole music production game. Building up the studio at the moment- so far LMMS and getting a Korg EMX-1, Kaossilator (just to get creative juices flowing) and a midi keyboard next week. So hanging around the cheaper side of things. I was wondering what the Creative Commons Audio of 'NO' meant? I read the explanations but wasn't sure whether this stood for No Derivative Works or something else? |

There was actually a DnB Record out with that Sample a few years back. Sounded nice!
I remember the original Orson Wells (i actually have the original vinyl) To answer your question you can play it in clubs, give it away, and even press a few dubplates. You may not profit from the audio without first contacting them and settling on a fee. Some people use and remix music that others have made every day. If you start to make money (example Puff Daddy) then the artist is going to want his cut. It's only fair. They can then sue you for (not a billion dollars), but their cut, and maybe just maybe damages. But most likely their cut. If you make a mixed tape and sell it, its not legal, but the chances of you getting sued or put in jail are virtually null. Thats both the legal straight laced fact and the street application of it. ![]() hope that helps ![]() Welcome to Free-Loops.com thanks for signing up. |
